Hi there,
Today, it will be a short but straight-to-the-point email.
And before jumping into it, tell what do you prefer.
In my series of 3 emails about “Making Your Work Visible”, you’ve learnt some techniques to achieve that.
In a nutshell, what I say is:
Visibility is the currency that buys opportunities: show up in technical meetings where you can add value, prepare a clear point, and contribute short, concrete observations; you don’t need to dominate the conversation, just be useful in the right moments.
Deliberately communicate your wins: pick one meaningful outcome each week (a bug fixed, a performance win, an incident avoided) and send a short note to your manager, team, and relevant stakeholders; escalate to leadership for larger milestones. Making this a habit turns real impact into visible recognition.
Multiply your reputation by helping others: when asked, dig into the problem, offer to pair-program or run a quick session, and follow up with actionable steps. Being reliably helpful positions you as a problem-solver and generates organic recommendations across the organization; keep it simple, consistent, and genuine.
You can find the links to digg more at the end of this email.
Also,
just wrote about the importance of this point in this interesting article that I encourage you to read 👇🏻I want you to retain this idea in your mind:
For growing into a company, you need more than “make your work”.
You also need to ensure that your colleagues and upper management are aware of your successes.
This is the key to growing in a Tech Company. I see this all the time: people doing a great job but “failing” on showing her/his work to management. I don’t want that for you.
Hope this helps as it helped me.
Best,
Marcos

I love your series. They are so packed with knowledge!
