I really like your way of thinking but unfortunately do not 100% agree with this one :( I don't believe to delegate "unimportant" things to others because I have some sort of authority. But maybe I misunderstood this completely, would like to understand more if you're interested.

From my point of view and experience, delegate tasks is not a signal of "lack of authority" but a signal of trust. Trust on the people on who we delegate work, transferring the ownership, make them accountable, for something to happen.
Actually, only the leader role (at any level) is the one that can delegate.
Fair enough, I think my point was more around abusing that authority to only delegate “not important “ tasks. As a leader our primary goal should be to provide increasing opportunities to others.
But I’m sensing that our definition of not important in this context is misaligned. 😃
